Jim Norman

advises leaders with the confidence to meet challenging goals

Jim Norman, is principal of MetPartners, previously known as Sage Real Estate Strategies in Seattle. Prior to that, he was founder and owner of The Norman Company. He is well known as a veteran of commercial real estate in greater Seattle. He has been a critical contributor to the Pacific Northwest Research Institute (PNRI, now PNDRI), including a role as Chairman of the Board during a transformational period. Mr. Norman has worked with a distinguished group of Seattle area business leaders guiding the Institute’s strategic growth as it advances diabetes and cancer research.

Jim brings broad experience and expertise with a long career in business and commercial real estate. He has held executive positions with such firms as Wright Runstad & Company and the Trammell Crow Company. He has played key roles in the many major development landmarks in the greater Seattle area and in the management and sales of major downtown office buildings. He has been an executive advisor to Universities, colleges and city school systems in the location, transactions, strategies, and use of property.

The Norman Company, once ranked among the region’s largest real estate brokerages, has joined with three others to form a company that will avoid entirely the brokerage and transactional jobs that are the bread and butter of the industry. Rather than arranging leases or selling off buildings, Jim advises clients on broader questions, recognizing the strategic value of Real Estate in the leverage of corporate goals.

With a group of very experienced partners, he provides important consulting advice to health care, higher education, and corporations and institutions throughout the region. Jim has business experience and strategic planning knowledge, providing crucial strategic guidance to clients. His insight and expertise helps leadership teams make the best business decisions to advance their critical missions.
